ILLUSTRATOR

Illustrator (& writer) for Autoweek Magazine 2015-2020. Additional illustration work has appeared in Overland Expo, Roadtrippers Magazine, Emerald City’s Annual “Monsters & Dames” and the San Diego Comic Fest program cover. My chapter on punk band Black Flag appeared in Bloomsbury Press's "How to Write About Music: A Compilation of the Best Music Writing from the 33 & 1/3 Series" in 2015.

Personal Soufflé

Dropped out of UCSD to become an animator, a career that culminated in co-director credit (with the much more accomplished Michael Francis Dietz) on THQ's Ratatouille for Disney/Pixar, which won the Annie for Best Video Game Animation of the year. Also storyboards, where clients have included Mass Animation, Fox Television, Cirque de Soleil, Sony and DC Comics. In between all this, I spent a few years teaching Sculpture and Anatomy for various San Diego arts schools, including The Athenaeum, The Watts Atelier, and (ironically, triumphantly) UCSD Extension. Taught Animation and Illustration for Cal State Fullerton. Finally finished that UCSD degree (unironically, triumphantly) in 2021.
